QrContacts
Overview
QrContacts is an Android app that allows sharing a Contact’s details via a VCard QR-Code.
Features
- Find Contacts Quickly: All contacts can be found rapidly via search or fastscroll in the Contacts List screen
- View Contact Details: Contact details (e.g., name, mobile number, etc.) can be viewed in the Contact Details screen
- Easily Transfer Contacts: The Scanner screen can be used to scan the QR-Code from the Contact Details screen, enabling the contact to be added via the default contact’s app
- Works with other Scanners and Contacts Apps: The QR-Code in the Contact Details screen contains contact data in VCard format (standard for electronic business cards), hence can be scanned by most barcode scanners (e.g., XZing Barcode Scanner) and imported via most contact apps (e.g., Google Contacts)
- Share Without QR-Code: A contacts can be shared as VCard text from the Contact Details screen
Supported Contact Details
Due to time constraints, QrContacts currently only supports contact details including mobile and home phone numbers, and home email addresses (i.e., most commonly shared contact details, based on discussions with several users).
